Prof David Woods

David Woods (CBE) was the lead Education Adviser for London Schools and the London Challenge and then the Chief Advisor until April 2011, as well as being the Principal National Challenge Adviser for England. He was previously Head of the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) Advisory Service and before that the Chief Education Adviser for Birmingham Schools.

David is currently the Chair of The London Leadership Strategy and several local authority Education Challenge Boards, as well as being a visiting Professor of Education at Warwick University and a Professorial Fellow at the London Institute of Education.
