Chris Husbands

 Professor Chris Husbands is an educationist and university leader.   He is currently Director of the UCL Institute of Education. 

Chris began his professional career teaching in urban comprehensive schools, promoted rapidly into school leadership, before developing his career in higher education.   He has held senior leadership roles in four UK universities and is one of the UK’s leading educationists, with a worldwide reputation for his work on education policy and practice.  His work on curriculum, pedagogy and education reform has been disseminated through eleven books and almost 400 papers, reports and presentations.  

Chris has undertaken consultancy and advisory work nationally and internationally, most recently in Norway, South America and China.
